How do I place a drinks order with Tap'in 3PL?

Partnering with a 3PL should streamline your logistics, not complicate them.

At Tap'in, we’ve designed an efficient order placement process that reduces admin time for breweries, wineries and distilleries while ensuring accuracy and transparency.

It's important to understand the way different third-party logistics companies work in regard to their drinks order process. Throughout this article, we provide key information on Tap'in 3PL's specific drinks order process which will help you decide whether our service would work best for your particular drinks business.

For any further questions about our order process following this article, contact our team at sales@tapin3pl.com.

Here’s how Tap'in's drinks order placement works:

Step 1: Send Over Your Drinks Orders

Use our order placement form provided to you at the point of onboarding, or send us your order form generated from your own software when venues place an order.

As long as the document includes the key details, our dedicated Customer Service team can take care of the rest. These details include:

  1. Product SKUs
  2. Product quantities
  3. Delivery address
  4. Unique order reference number
  5. Contact information

Allowing flexibility to use your own software-generated order forms ensures a seamless transition to using a 3PL, without adding extra admin work for your team.

Step 2: Order Processing in Our Clarus WMS

Once we receive your order, our Customer Service team inputs it into Clarus, our Warehouse Management System (WMS).

We believe in full transparency, which is why we provide our clients with access to the Clarus WMS portal, allowing you to track your stock levels in real-time. This visibility ensures you stay informed about the quantities that our Tap'in warehouse is currently holding.

Step 3: Fast Picking, Packing and Allocating

Once your order is processed, our warehouse team takes over. Using Clarus WMS, they can efficiently locate the correct stock, ensuring accurate picking and packing using barcode scanners.

Our dedicated logistics team ensures that orders are allocated to the perfect route based on order volume, delivery deadline and sustainability in transit.

Thanks to our streamlined system and our speedy warehouse and logistics team, we can turn orders around quickly—often for next-day delivery (subject to our Tap'in delivery timetable).

Step 4: Delivery

At Tap'in, we have a dedicated fleet and expert drivers who ensure your drinks orders arrive at their venues on time and in great condition.

You'll receive a POD confirmation once your drinks are delivered safely- so you can rest assured that the job is done.
